Internet Explorer 8
		Microsoft released the final version of Internet Explorer 8 for public download on March 19. The Online Support Team recommends students and faculty DO NOT download the new browser at this time.
Blackboard has not yet certified the browser for use with their product. In fact, we have received various reports from students and faculty regarding features of Blackboard which do not work when using IE 8. We will continue to monitor the release status of IE 8 as well status of Blackboard's support of the browser. A full list of certified and compatible browsers is available on our FAQ page.
Important Information Regarding Microsoft Office 2003/2007
Effective July 1, 2009, Microsoft Office 2007 (Standard edition) will become a part of the minimum software requirements for participating in an online IWU course. If you are an adult student who is currently using Microsoft Office 2003, we highly recommend you purchase Microsoft Office 2007 prior to July 1. You can purchase the software at a significant savings through IWU (click here for more info). Students who are still using Office 2003 can still open, edit and save documents in the new Office 2007 formats by installing the MS Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2007. More information is available here. Some degree programs currently require MS Office 2007.
Free Email Accounts for All Adult and Professional Studies Students!
		Did you know that you get a FREE E-mail account through the University? You do! But there's a catch.  You HAVE to use it! If you have not set up your FREE IWU E-mail account you are missing out on important information from the University. All email from the university, including your Blackboard course facilitator, will come to this account. This is your email account that ends "@myemail.indwes.edu". You should have already received information on how to set up the account. If you have questions, please contact the IT Help Desk at helpdesk@indwes.edu or at (800) 621-8667, ext. 2209.
